Historic Richmond Foundation, Sportsbackers, and Anthem have joined together to showcase the treasure trove of historic sites in the Fan District and its neighboring communities with a 10K walk on Saturday May 21, 2011. The trail begins at the Virginia Historical Society, visits the Science Museum of Virginia, introduces you to one of the Fan’s most popular neighborhood pocket parks – Scuffletown. Continue on to Meadow Park, home to the Fan’s neighborhood summer concerts, check out the JEB Stuart statue at Stuart Circle, visit Virginia Commonwealth University’s Anderson Gallery, Sacred Heart Cathedral overlooking Monroe Park, Grace and Holy Trinity Church across the street, and Richmond’s own Landmark Theater. Stroll along Laurel Street into the Oregon Hill neighborhood to famed Hollywood Cemetery.
